I am so lucky that Michael was able to ride my horse over 7 weeks of lockdown. Mike is very hard working and has a genuine love of the horse, he is a sympathetic and effective rider who constantly trains horses with softness and ease. He is disciplined, determined, and dedicated to bringing the best out of every horse or horse and rider combination he works with. He is a great communicator who puts all levels at ease and is able to explain things in ways that everyone can understand and achieve. He seems to have a talent for taking on quirky horses and producing them into ridable and happy athletes.

I have known Mike since he was 18 and was his tutor at Bridgend College South Wales.
I had the privilege to assist Mike with his early BHS Stages (1 – 3), Mike was also a finalist in the prestigious Welsh Vocational Qualifications Awards shortly after leaving college.
It was clear Mike had the talent and tenacity to go much further, Mike is an excellent coach displaying empathy and humour with those he teaches.
Mike is an excellent rider he reads horses very well, both on the flat and over fences.
Mike is very professional to work with, regularly working for BHS Wales/Cymru running clinics, camps and online training.

Michael's stable management is second to none, he has an eye for detail and doesn't miss a thing. He is extremely professional and very organised. As a coach he always finds a way to communicate with all individuals and manages to explain things in a way that everyone can understand. Whether he is riding or coaching he always manages to improve the way of going while being sympathetic and understanding.
